KADUNA PDP CAUCUS REAFFIRMS LOYALTY, STRATEGIZES FOR BYE-ELECTIONS AND PARTY STRENGTHENING
The Kaduna State Chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to the party’s ideals, leadership, and electoral success, following an expanded caucus meeting held on Saturday, July 6, 2025, at the ASAA Pyramid Hotel, Kaduna.
In a communiqué issued at the end of the meeting and signed by the State Chairman, Sir Edward Percy Masha, the caucus made it clear that the PDP in Kaduna remains united, focused, and fully aligned with the national direction of the party.
The meeting brought together a broad spectrum of party stakeholders, including former and serving elected officials, party executives, elders, youth, and women leaders, who reviewed internal developments, addressed recent political rumours, and mapped out strategies ahead of the upcoming bye-elections in three constituencies within the state.
Key Resolutions from the Meeting Include:
1. A strong reaffirmation of total loyalty to the PDP and a renewed commitment to strengthening the party at all levels across the state.
2. A categorical denial of speculations regarding possible defections by party leaders in Kaduna, with the caucus distancing itself from such unfounded rumours.
3. Unqualified support for the current National Working Committee (NWC), the Board of Trustees (BoT), PDP Governors, and their ongoing preparations toward convening a National Elective Convention.
4. Endorsement of alliance-building efforts by the party’s emerging national leadership aimed at unseating the APC-led government at the national and sub-national levels in the next general election.
5. A collective pledge by the Kaduna PDP family to mobilize and work together for the victory of the party’s candidates in all the upcoming bye-elections and future electoral contests in the state.
The caucus expressed optimism in the PDP's capacity to reclaim its position as Nigeria’s leading political force, noting that internal unity, grassroots mobilization, and issue-based campaigns would remain the foundation of its strategy going forward.
As the PDP continues to reposition itself both in Kaduna and nationally, the party leadership called on members and supporters to remain steadfast, focused, and united in the pursuit of democratic excellence and effective governance
